Amélie Oudéa‑Castéra

Amélie Oudéa-Castéra is a former tennis champion: she is a three-time French champion (1990, 1992 and 1994), won the Orange Bowl (unofficial world championship) in the Under 14s in 1992, and reached the semi-finals of three of the four junior Grand Slam tournaments. She was selected fifty times for the French youth teams and reached 251st place in the world rankings in 1994.

In 1996, she put an end to her career to pursue her studies (Sciences Po, ESSEC, Master of Law, ENA), before starting her career as a financial auditor at the Cour des Comptes.

In 2008, she joined the AXA Group as Director of Strategy and then Director of Marketing and Digital. At the end of 2018, she joined the Executive Committee of the Carrefour Group, where for more than two years she ran the brand and e-commerce, data, innovation and IT activities.

In March 2021, she became Managing Director of the French Tennis Federation, managing a team of 470 employees alongside its President Gilles Moretton, orchestrating in particular the organisation of the prestigious Roland-Garros tournament.

In 2018, she co-founded the association Rénovons le Sport Français and ran it for 4 years. At the same time, for a few months, she chaired the Paris 2024 Audit Committee and was a member of the board of directors of Sport dans la ville, an association specialising in social integration through sport. During Emmanuel Macron’s presidential campaign in 2022, she was appointed sport referent.

On 20 May 2022, she was appointed Minister for Sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the Élisabeth Borne government.
